Historical Timeline

1842

Joseph T. Ryerson opens a small store in Chicago

1914

J.M. Tull opens its doors in Atlanta

1917

Metal Goods was established

1919

Reynolds Metals was established

1936

Vincent Metals was established & - Inland Steel acquires Joseph T. Ryerson

1963

RASCO Metals was founded

1986

J. M. Tull was acquired and a new company was created Ryerson Tull.

1994

Ryerson started operations in Mexico through Joint Ventures.

2001

Integris Metals was formed with RASCO, Vincent Metals y Atlas Ideal Metals.

2005

Ryerson Tull acquires Integris Metals, The 4th largest Service Center in North America.

2006

The company adopts a new name - Ryerson - to signal a new era of growth and reflects its long term leadership in the metals distribution industry

2007

Ryerson is acquired by Platinum Equity and the Joint Venture with Grupo Collado comes to an end.

2010

Ryerson comes back to Mexico as Ryerson Metals de Mexico
